We have 560 registered users from Local Authorities across England, Scotland and Wales. 

Of this, 389 are actively using the system with the remaining users yet to activate their accounts. London has the highest number of registered users, as well as the highest number of unactivated users. The South East Region also has a high proportion of unactivated user accounts.

Fig.1 (below) illustrates the current Top 24 UASC Countries that have entered the UK.  The data used for this chart was taken from information placed on the National Register by Local Authorities.  It shows that the country with the highest number of UASC coming to the UK is Afghanistan, followed by Iran and Eritrea.

The gender breakdown indicates that it is predominantly males seeking asylum from South Asia, while populations from African nations appear to be more balanced.

Fig. 2 (below) illustrates the Top 10 UASC by Country that came to the UK between 2004 and 2006.  Again it shows that Afghanistan had the highest numbers of UASC entering the UK, peaking in 2005.  Eritrea has shown a year on year increase, while Ethiopia shows a decline each year.
